Hold Fast by Phil Strong is a raw, honest, and deeply encouraging guide to clinging to God through every storm of life. Drawing on the Hebrew word dabaq — meaning to cling, to stick like glue, to be joined so tightly that separation becomes nearly impossible — Phil Strong unpacks what it truly means to hold fast to God when life shakes everything you thought was secure.

Rooted in Scripture and rich with real-life stories, Hold Fast takes you on a journey through four anchors of an unshakeable faith: trust, obedience, faith, and grace. Through the stories of Jacob wrestling with God, Elisha’s fierce loyalty to Elijah, John Mark’s stunning redemption, and Ruth’s unwavering commitment, you’ll discover that holding fast is not passive — it’s a fierce, active, daily choice to cling to the One who never lets go of you.

Whether you’re facing uncertainty, struggling with doubt, recovering from failure, or simply exhausted by the spiritual ups and downs of life, this book meets you exactly where you are. You’ll learn how to:

Trust God deeply in seasons of uncertainty and loss
Obey God’s Word even when it’s costly or countercultural
Believe God’s promises when they seem delayed or impossible
Grow through grace after failure and shame
Wrestle honestly with God and come out blessed
Stay the course when everyone else steps back
Experience restoration and step back into purpose

Hold Fast is not a book about perfect faith — it’s a book about real faith. The kind that limps forward. The kind that wrestles through the night. The kind that refuses to let go, even when it hurts.

Perfect for: individual devotional reading, small group study, or anyone in a difficult life season who needs to be reminded that God’s grip on them is stronger than their grip on Him.
